Write to hello@artstory.app. Include the email address on your account, and — if something went wrong with a specific concert — its date and title.

Go to My journal and add a program. You can photograph the printed program, paste its text, or do both when the photo is hard to read. The works, composers and performers are pulled out for you to check before anything is saved — nothing is written to your journal until you confirm it.

Reading a program in this way is what a subscription buys: one month free, then $9.99 a year, for up to 30 concerts a month. The month's count starts again on the 1st. If a read is refused — because a subscription has not started, or because the month's concerts are used up — what you typed or uploaded is already saved as a draft, so nothing you entered is lost.

A photo must be a JPEG, PNG or WebP under 6 MB. PDFs are not accepted. Pasted text is capped at 20,000 characters, which is far longer than any real program.

Reading programs is the subscription. What follows from a read comes with it and is not sold separately: dated and sourced composition history on each work, the program notes on a concert page, and Connections across your journal.

Your own writing is never part of it. Notes can be written, exported and deleted on any plan.

Nothing you have logged is removed. Every concert, note and program note already in your journal stays exactly as it is, and you can go on reading and searching all of it. What stops is reading and researching new programs. Existing Connections and listening briefs remain available because they are derived from your saved journal.

Every extracted field is editable in the review step before you confirm, and you can reopen a confirmed concert to correct it. A match to an existing composer or work is only ever a suggestion — None of these — create new stays available even when an exact match is offered.

Notes live on the concert page and save as you type. They are private to you.

The ··· menu on a note exports it as a text file or deletes it. Deleting a note takes its earlier versions with it, and emptying a note has the same effect as deleting it. Notes are exported one at a time, from their own concert page; there is no account-wide export.

Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page to get a reset link. If the reset email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then write to us.

Your account page has a Delete account action. It starts immediately and cannot be undone. It removes your profile, concerts, journal, notes and uploaded programs; the work runs in stages across our storage, database and sign-in provider, and is safe to retry if one stage does not finish.
